As a powerful force in the beauty industry for the past 15 years and a registered nurse of over 16 years, Dorantes’ tailored expertise and innovative service offerings have paved the way for Beauty Lounge’s proven success.

Bethany is a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner with a strong clinical background in Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care. With years of experience treating a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions, she brings a comprehensive, patient-centered approach to wellness and preventative care. At Beauty Lounge Medical Spa, Bethany specializes in women’s health, hormone optimization, and medically guided weight loss. She is passionate about helping patients feel their absolute best from the inside out by addressing hormonal balance, metabolic health, energy, mood, and overall wellness through personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual’s goals and lifestyle. Known for her compassionate bedside manner and evidence-based approach, Bethany takes the time to truly listen to her patients and create customized wellness programs designed to help them regain confidence, vitality, and long-term health. Her background in high-acuity medicine combined with her passion for preventative and functional wellness allows her to deliver safe, effective, and results-driven care.

Marie joined the Beauty Lounge Medical Spa team in 2019, bringing with her over 25 years of nursing experience and a passion for helping others feel confident and beautiful in their own skin. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Point Loma Nazarene University and has spent the majority of her nursing career as a Labor & Delivery nurse, where she has had the privilege of supporting families through some of life’s most meaningful moments. In addition to her extensive bedside experience, Marie has years of experience in medical aesthetics and advanced training in injectables, lasers, skin rejuvenation, and aesthetic treatments. Patients love her warm personality, gentle touch, and honest approach to creating natural, refreshed results. Marie is also the proud mother of founder and Nurse Practitioner Shawnda Dorantes, and feels incredibly grateful to work alongside her daughter helping patients look and feel their best every day. Outside of the office, Marie enjoys traveling, attending concerts, wine tasting, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Grace is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who earned her degree from United States University. She brings a diverse clinical background with experience in Emergency Medicine/Trauma, Medical-Surgical nursing, and Telemetry, giving her a strong foundation in comprehensive patient care and wellness management. Grace joined Beauty Lounge Medical Spa during the early stages of our wellness expansion and played an integral role in helping launch our Medical Weight Loss Program in 2021. She is passionate about helping patients achieve their health and aesthetic goals while improving confidence, energy, and overall quality of life through personalized, evidence-based care. Known for her compassionate approach and ability to build strong relationships with her patients, Grace loves empowering women to feel confident both inside and out. In addition to her nursing career, Grace is also a highly successful real estate agent, bringing the same level of dedication, professionalism, and care to everything she does. Outside of work, Grace enjoys spending time with family and friends, personal growth, wellness, and helping others achieve their goals in both health and life.

Jomay has been an integral part of the Beauty Lounge Medical Spa team since 2020, serving as our dedicated Practice Manager and helping oversee the daily operations that keep our offices running smoothly. As a licensed esthetician with a passion for the aesthetics industry, she combines her knowledge of skincare and patient care with exceptional leadership and organizational skills. Known for her warm personality, professionalism, and strong attention to detail, Jomay plays a vital role in creating the elevated patient experience Beauty Lounge is known for. From supporting our providers and team to assisting patients throughout their journey, she is committed to ensuring every client feels welcomed, cared for, and confident in their experience. Wendy is a vital part of the Beauty Lounge Medical Spa team, serving as our Spa Supervisor, Lead Esthetician, Medical Assistant, and Medical Weight Loss Program Coordinator. Working closely alongside NP Bethany, Wendy helps guide and support patients throughout their wellness and weight loss journey while also overseeing many of the day-to-day operations that keep the practice running seamlessly. With a passion for aesthetics, patient care, and wellness, Wendy is known for her compassionate personality, strong work ethic, and dedication to helping every patient feel comfortable, supported, and confident. As our Lead Esthetician, she brings extensive knowledge in skincare treatments and patient education, helping clients achieve healthy, glowing skin through personalized treatment plans and consistent care. Zailey has been a dedicated member of the Beauty Lounge Medical Spa team and has grown tremendously within the company, working her way up from Patient Care Coordinator to Medical Assistant and now Team Lead. Her passion for patient care, leadership, and aesthetics shines through in everything she does, and she plays an important role in supporting both our team and patients each day. Currently, Zailey is pursuing her Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) at MiraCosta College and is expected to graduate in May 2027. Following in the footsteps of her mother, NP Shawnda Dorantes, and her grandmother, Nurse Marie, Zailey plans to continue her journey into medical aesthetics and will begin her aesthetic training next summer. Patients and team members alike love Zailey for her warm personality, strong work ethic, and willingness to always go above and beyond. She is passionate about helping others feel confident and cared for and is excited to continue building her future in nursing and aesthetic medicine.

She first joined the practice as a Patient Care Coordinator before expanding her role into Medical Assisting and Social Media Management.
